About

The Ignatian Year, celebrated between May 2021, and July 31, 2022, commemorates two important occasions in the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola. This past May 21 marked the 500th anniversary of his wounding at the Battle of Pamplona and subsequent conversion, and on March 12, 2022, we celebrate 400 years since his canonization as a saint. The Ignatian Year provides an opportunity for spiritual renewal and rededication to Jesus’s values in the world. Its activities will be grounded in the vision of the “Universal Apostolic Preferences” (UAPs) and will be guided by the motto, “To See All Things New in Christ.” To that end, it will invite us to personal and communal transformation to help build up the Kingdom of God.
