Activities to Celebrate
Art Exhibition at Loyola

Loyola University New Orleans announces the opening of a temporary art exhibition, The Fruit Is a Restless Desire, on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 5:30 to 8 pm, in the Collin C. Diboll Gallery.
Organized in conjunction with the global Ignatian Year, the exhibition brings together works by nine international artists to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges: economic injustice, cultural discord, social inequities, climate crisis, and the search for meaning and purpose.
The Fruit Is a Restless Desire considers these issues through the lens of “conversion”. Understood as a profound change of heart and mind that leads to new ways of seeing, acting, and being, the term highlights the show’s roots as both modern (art as advocacy) and eternal (art as transformative).
The exhibition will remain on view, free to the public, during regular library hours until January 14, 2022. The Collin C. Diboll Gallery is located on the 4th floor of Loyola’s Monroe Library.
